Lamma Island, Acrylic on Canvas, 152 cm x 152 cm, 2024

Lamma Island was created in my studio gardens using the plants around me to paint directly from. Once in the studio I added layers of detail. I have left space around the painting to enable the details within the painting to “breathe”. Lamma Island is an island off Hong Kong that I used to visit during my childhood in Hong Kong. I have titled the painting this as the jungle like island I have created in the painting reminds me of this.
